The Lower House. 591

 

Wee therefore humbly offer to the Mouse for the Repair of
the said Prison It is necessary that a floor of lyned white oake
Sleepers of Seven Inches deep be laid Close togither on the
Lower floor of the said prison and be layed with two Inch
white oake plank Each Side plank to be well spickt down to
the End of each Sleeper the rest of the plank to be well
Trennelled.

Edward Smith of the City of Annapolis undertakes to
pforme the said work by the 8th day Xber next for which he
is to be paid out of the publick Stock remaining in the hands
of Saml Young Esqr 20ll Current money on his produceing a
certificate to him of haveing done the said work under the
hands of Mr George Valentine & Thomas Docwra or either
of them
The following Engrossed Bills were read and assented to
by the Lower house of Assembly this 8th day of Augt 1716
& severally

An Engrossed bill ascertaining the Gauge and Tare of Tobo
hhds and to prevent Cropping and defaceing of Tobo &c:
An Engrossed Bill for Confirmeing a Conveyance of land
made by Anthony Ivy and Anne his wife to John Alia &c:
An Engrossed Bill for Confirming a conveyance of land
made by Joseph Bridger deced to Thomas Jones deced
An Engrossed Bill for confirming 3 Tracts of land in Ann-
arundell County to Susannah Johnson and her heirs &c:
Which said four last mentioned Engrossed Bills were sent
to the Upr house by Mr Tyler Mr Stoddart Capt Mariartee,
Mr Turbutt, who return and say they delivered the Bills.
Mr Stoddart from the Comittee of laws delivers Mr Speaker
A Bill repealing the Act agt stricking fish which was read the
first & second times by Especial order and will pass and was
so Endorsed
Sent to the Upper house by Col Scott & Mr Waghup whc
return and say they delivered the same.
Lt Col Tilghman from the Upper house acquaints Mr Speaker
that the upper house have agreed & assented to the foll: En-
grossed bills (Viz)

A Bill to continue process on change of Government
A Supplementary Bill to the Act for Killing Woolves
Crows & Squirrells.
