Liber No. 46

of the several Sheriffs following for the sums that appear by the
said Report to be respectively due from them either on Account of
Ordinary Licenses or public Assessment, unless they shall pay their
respective Ballances into the office of the Commissioners for Emit-
ting Bills of Credit established by Act of Assembly, by the 10th Day
of August next. Viz: Walter Hanson late Sheriff of Charles
County, Richard Tarvin late Sheriff of the same County, George
Tarvin late Sheriff of the same County, John Cartwright late Sheriff
of St. Mary's County, William Cartwright late Sheriff of the same
County, John Parran late Sheriff of Calvert County, Simon Wilmer
late Sheriff of Kent County, James Rigbie late Sheriff of Baltimore
County, John Risteau present Sheriff of the same County, John
Thompson late Sheriff of Cecil County, and James Martin late
Sheriff of Worcester County: And that he also deliver to the said
Attorney General the respective Accounts of those Sheriffs as they
stand stated in the said report
Ordered likewise that the said Clerk give Notice to the Justices
of the several County Courts within this Province, that they are
required by this House to order the Prosecutors of their respective
Courts to sue the Recognizances of all such persons as have taken
Ordinary Licenses, and have not paid the Fines due for the same
It being moved by a member to Address the Governor on his
Message to this House in Answer to their Remonstrance of the
26 June, the Question was put, Whether this House will address his
Excellency in Answer to that message. Or not
