as my Orders & Directions, To all the Naval Officers that they do
Demand & require forthwith of the owners, Captains & Masters,
be they of Virginia or other such Vessels, to level the Imposts p.r
Tun either by Ancient Right or has been since by Custom Leveld
at 15 pence p.r Tun & on failure of Payment of the Duty by the
parties, They the said Naval Officers do make a Seisure & satisfy the
Demand. And My Will & Desire is that the said Naval Officers do
Enter a Distinct Column in their Annual Accompts of such Tunnage
Duty by them Received, to be transmitted to me accordingly.
Given under my Hand & lesser Seal at Armes at London the
Twenty third Day of October in the Sixth Year of my Dominion
over the said Province & in the Year of Our Lord 1757.
