124 Provincial Court Proceedings, 1666.
Liber FF Proclamacon made 3 times if any person had any thing else to
Alleadge let them come in the prisoner stands upon her deliuer-
ance, noe person appearing the said Jane Crisp is acquitted by
Proclamacon
[p. 388] Edward Perce Plaintiffe The plt declares upon a Protested bill of
Thomas Paine defendant Exce and Craues Judgmt according to his
Daniel Jenifer p quei declaracon for the Originall debt and dath-
Benjamin Rozer p deft ages Wherupon the Board gaue the plt
Judgmt for the Originall Debt being Eighteen pounds ster: and
Ordred a writt of Inquiry doe issue for the damages and that a Jury
be impannell'd forthwth to enquire of the same
The sherriffe returnes a pannell of Jurors being warned and
sworne to enquire of the dathages in the foregoing suite, who re-
turnes into Court and deliuers in the ensuing uerdict
The Jury Alloweth as to the daThage Thirty pounds p Cento being
Fine pounds Eight shillings for the Plaintiffe
Ordred the abouesaid Jurys Verdict be entred for Judgmt, the
names of which Jury are as followeth

Richard Steuens Thomas Innis Wm Champ
John Foxhall Jn0 Gouldsmyth John Cammell
John Hambleton John Dennizen John Smyth
The Court adjourns for 2 houres
The Justices all mett as before
John Goldsmyth plaintiffe the plt sues for fifteen hundred pnds of
George Reynolds defendt tobacco and flue pounds of sugar for
Daniel Jenifer p quer which Judgmt giuen the plt by Nihil dicit
Wm Caluert Esq p deft and Ordred it be so entred
John Foxhall plaintiffe The defendt being sued as Administrator of
Richard Smyth defendt Thomas Wylde late deceased in a plea of
Daniel Jenifer p quer: tresspass upon the Case for seuerall Goods
Wm Caluert Esq p def and merchandizes sold the sd wyld by the
said Foxhall amounting unto the sume of Nineteene hundred Ninety
six pounds of tob: which perticulers by Accompt being produc'd in
Court the deft pleads the Act of Assembly being aboue nine months
standing upon a dead mans Estate, wherupon Judgmt giuen by the
Court for the defendt
According to that Order entred in fo: 370 and sent the Commrs
of Caluert County James Cullum make his appearance at this Court,
but no person appearing to prosecute the said Cullum is quitted by
Proclamacon after wittnesses examined
