December One thousand Seven hundred and Twenty One in Baltemore
County Afs^a intrusted by the said Thomas Bordley with the Collection of

And Accounting for Nineteen Thousand Nine Hundred and Ninety Six
Pounds of Tobacco Due to the said Thomas Bordley by Virtue of his office
of Commissary Gen^}* Afs^d from Sundry Persons Living in Baltemore County
afs^a And also that True it is that the said Francis Holland as Sherriff of the
said Baltemore County Was on the said last Mentioned twenty fourth Day of
December Intrusted by the said Thomas Bordley [843] To Collect and Ac-
count for the Sum of three thousand two Hundred pounds of Tob^a Due to
the said Thomas Bordley by Virtue of his office of Attorney Generall as
Afores^a from Severall Persons then living in Baltemore County afs^d And also
true it is that the said Francis Holland As Sherriff Afs^d on the Tenth Day of
Aprill One Thousand Seven Hundred and Twenty two in Baltemore County
Afs^d Did Receive from the Afs^d John Beale the Sum of One thousand and
thirty five Pounds of Tobacco for the Use of the said Thomas Bordley And
that the said Severall Quantities of Tobacco Amount to Twenty four thou-
sand two Hundred and thirty One pounds of Tobacco But the said Roger
further saith that As to Seven Thousand five Hundred and forty Eight
pounds of Tobacco Part of the said Twenty four thousand two Hundred and
thirty One pounds of Tobacco the said Francis Holland Did before the im-
petration and Exhibition of the Writt afs^d by the said attorney Gen^ll for the
Lord Propry against the said Roger Mathews Viz^t: on the Ninth Day of June
in the Year One thousand Seven Hundred and Twenty Six in Baltemore
County Afs^d Pay and Satisfie Unto the said Thomas Bordley in his Lifetime
the said Seven thousand five Hundred and forty Eight pounds of Tobacco,
And As to Sixteen Thousand Six Hundred and Eighty three Pounds of To-
bacco the remaining part of the said Twenty four thousand two hundred and
thirty One pounds of Tobacco He the said Francis Holland before the Im-
petration or Exhibition of the said Writt As Afs^d against the said Roger
Mathews Viz^t: on the first Day of July in the Year of Our Lord One thousand
Seven Hundred and Twenty Six in Baltemore County Afs^d Did offer to pay
to the said Thomas Bordley in his Lifetime the said Sixteen thousand Six
Hundred and Eighty three Pounds of Tobacco According to the form and
Effect of the Condition Afs^d Without that, That twenty four thousand two
hundred and Thirty one pounds of Tobacco Yet Remain Unpaid and Un-
satisfied to the said Tho^s Bordley Or to the afs^d Ariana Exx: as Afs^d And this
he is ready to verifie, And the said Roger further saith that true it is the said
Francis Holland Sherr: as Afs^a Was Indebted to the said Thomas Bordley as
Afs^d On the Tenth Day of August One Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty
and Two in Baltemore County Afores^d in the Quantity of Sixteen thousand
Six Hundred and Eighty three Pounds of Tobacco as afs^d Upon a Certain
Reckoning Between the said Thomas in his Lifetime And the Afores^d Francis
