Reverend Price.
7
DELEGATE PRICE: May we pray.
8
We thank Thee, 0 God, for the privilege of bear-
9
ing witness in this terrific generation in which our lives
10
are set. We thank Thee for the faith of our fathers living
11
still — the most precious thing we have received from the
12
past — the most precious thing we have to pass on to those
13
who come after us.
14
To be alive is to participate in drama. Yet,
15
as individuals, we confess that we have not always played
16
our parts with grace. We have called things God which are
17
not God. We have worshipped at the wrong altars. We have
18
burned incense at the wrong shrines. We have not loved
19
when we have been loved. We have not trusted each other
20
when we have been entrusted with life by Thee. We have
21
refused to accept wholeheartedly the good intent of others
