A RESOLUTION expressing the affection and
|
|
|
5
|
respect of all of the Delegates to this Convention for
|
|
|
6
|
its President, the Honorable H. Vernon Eney.
|
|
|
7
|
WHEREAS, the Constitutional Convention of Mary-
|
|
|
8
|
land is nearing the completion of the work entrusted to it
|
|
|
9
|
by the people of Maryland; and
|
|
|
10
|
WHEREAS, it is the deep conviction of this
|
|
|
11
|
Convention that no man could have served his State more
|
|
|
12
|
ably and more faithfully than has the President and the
|
|
|
13
|
Convention, through the preparatory effort and through
|
|
|
14
|
these months of the Convention's deliberations, and that
|
|
|
15
|
without him the quality of its work and the character of its
|
|
|
16
|
deliberations would have been materially lessened; and
|
|
|
17
|
WHEREAS, it was the privilege and pleasure of
|
|
|
18
|
each Delegate to have shared with our President the
|
|
|
19
|
friendship of people of knowledge, ability and personal
|
|
|
20
|
charm, the trials and the joys of an arduous task, the
|
|
|

|
divisions and the reconciliations, the disappointment of
