The bill entitled, an Act to amend an Act entitled, an Act to incorporate a company for Use purpose of cutting and making a Canal between the River Delaware and the Chesa- peake Bay, passed at November session, 1799; chapter 16, and also to amend a Supplement thereeto ; Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. On motion of Mr. Soper, The rules were suspended, and the bill, ry special order, read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as follow:
The said bill was then sent to the Senate. The hour having arrived, the House proceeded to the con- . sideration of the third order of the day, being the Senate bill entitled, an Act to Incorporate the Chesapeake Bay and Poto- mac River Tide Water Canal Company; |
