Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

Mr. Miller, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to whom was referred the petition of sundry citizens of Kent
county, praying an increase of the fees of Justices of the
Peace, asked to be discharged from the consideration thereof.

Which was agreed to.

Also, from the same Committee, to whom was referred the
petition of citizens of Prince George's county, relating to va-
cancies in the office of Clerks of Circuit Courts, Registers
of Wills and State's Attorneys, asked to be discharged from
the further consideration thereof.

Which was agreed to.

Also, from the same Committee, to whom was referred the
petition of sundry citizens of Hagerstown, asking a law pro-
hibiting the sale of spirituous liquors in said town, reported.
it unfavorably,

And the report was adopted.

Also, from the same Committee, to whom was referred the
petition of citizens of Clear Spring district, in Washington
county, asking the passage of a law prohibiting the sale of
ardent spirits in said town and district, reported it unfavor-
ably,

And the report was adopted.

Mr. Henkle moved a reconsideration of the vote by which
the Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 10 of Article
97, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to State
Wharfinger, Wharves, &c., with House amendments, was
passed.

On the question being put,
It was determined in the affirmative.
Mr. Henkle submitted the following message:
