and. Tributaries, to whom was referred House bill entitled an
Act for the protection of fish in the Chesapeake bay, &c.,
reported it with the following amendments:

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

1st. In section I, line 3, strike out the words "Anne Arun-
del County," and insert in lieu thereof the words: The State
of Maryland.

2d. In section 2, line 3, strike out the words "Anne
Arundel County," and insert in lieu thereof, the words: The
State of Maryland.

3d. Amend title by striking out the words "Waters of the
Chesapeake Bay and Tributaries," and insert the words:
Rivers, Creeps and Coves, in lieu thereof.
Which were severally read and adopted.
Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Henry moved that said bill be read the third time
this day.

The yeas and nays were called as required by section 27,
of Article 3, of the Constitution and appeared, as follows :

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. President, Parker,
Browne, Sellman,
Earle, Snyder,
Fields, Spates,
Henry, Stephenson,
Hyland, Timmons,
Jump, Welch,
Kimmel, Wilson—17.
Malone,
NEGATIVE—None.

So two-thirds of all the Senators elected having voted in
the affirmative,

Said bill was read the third time and passed by yeas
and nays, as follows :
