CHAPTER 72.

AN ACT to repeal an Act passed January Ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, entitled
" An Act to authorize the Pennsylvania Mutual
Horse Thief Detecting and Insurance Company
of York, Pennsylvania, to transact business in
the State of Maryland," and to re-enact the
same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the Act passed at January Session, eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, Chap- ter one hundred and five, entitled " An Act to au- thorize the Pennsylvania Mutual Horse Thief De- tecting and Insurance Company, of York, Penn- sylvania, to transact business in the State of Maryland," be and the same is hereby repealed, and the following is enacted in lieu thereof;. Sec. 2. Be it enacted, That the Directors and Managers of the Pennsylvania Mutual Horse Thief Detecting and Insurance Company, of York, Pennsylvania, are hereby authorized and em- powered to appoint, organize and establish detect- ing and canvassing agencies to solicit and receive	Repealed.
applications for membership and insurance, and to do and transact such other special or general business as may legally pertain to the suppression of horse stealing, and indemnifying its members against loss by theft or death, in the said State of Maryland, without the payment of the annual license fee required by the provisions of the Act, entitled " An Act relating to foreign corporations or associations for insurances and their agencies in this State,"' passed March eighth, eighteen hun- dred and fifty-eight. Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from and after the day of its passage. Approved March 2, 1870.	In force.
