CHAPTER 80.

AN ACT to amend the Act of eighteen hundred
and fifty-three, (Chapter one hundred and ninety-
four,) entitled, "An Act to incorporate the Bal-
timore and Potomac Railroad Company," and
to repeal the second section of the Act of eigh-
teen hundred and sixty, Chapter seventy-one,
and to extend the time for the completion of the
Baltimore and Potomac Railroad.

Repealed.	SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the second Section of the Act passed at January Session, eighteen hundred and sixty, (Chapter seventy-one,) entitled "An Act to extend the time for the commencement and com- pletion of the Baltimore and Potomac Railroad," be and is hereby repealed.
Time extended	Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That if the Railroad authorized to be made and constructed by the Act passed at January Session, eighteen hundred and fifty-three, (Chapter one hundred and ninety-four,) entitled "An Act to incorporate the Baltimore and Potomac Railroad Company," shall not be completed on or before the first day of December, eighteen hundred and seventy-five, or if that por- tion of the main stem of said Road between the point of its junction with the Branch Road to Washington and the Potomac river, shall not be completed at the expiration of twelve months from the date of the running of trains for the transpor- tion of freight and passengers between the cities of Baltimore and Washington, then the said last mentioned Act, and the powers and privileges therein granted, shall cease, and be in all respects null and void.
Repealed.	Sec. 3. Be it enacted, That so much of the ninth Section of the Act passed at January Session, eighteen hundred and fifty-three, (Chapter one hundred and ninety-four,) entitled "An Act to incorporate the Baltimore and Potomac Railroad Company," as provides that the President and Directors shall not increase the said capital stock beyond the sum or amount of three millions of dollars, be and the same is hereby repealed.
