Which was read.
The House then proceeded to the election of u Treasurer
to supply the place of Robert Fowler the present State
Treasurer, when it appeared that eighty-six ballots had been
cast on the part of the House of Delegates.
The Speaker then sealed the box and delivered the same
into the bands of Messrs. German, Cameron and Streett,
tellers on the part of the House, who proceeded to the Senate
Chamber, to join those who had been appointed on the part of
the Senate, for the purpose of counting the ballots.
Mr. Morse moved that the House do now take a recess for
twenty minutes.
Decided in the negative.
The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 43. Article 61, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title, " Mechanics' Lien,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments,
Was read a third time, and passed by yeas and nays, as
