Sommersett Ss: Memorandum That whereas John Miller Carpentr: And Abraham Emitt plantr: both of the County
abovesd: in the Province of Maryland Did about four year Since Survey & take up Two Tracts of Land in Part
nership Scituate lyeing & being one the head of the Sound wch: leades up into St:Martins river and one
the east South east Side of Back Creeke the one Tract lyeing betweene the Sd: Creeke & Cow quarter Creeke -
it is hereby Covenanted & agreed by and betweene the partners above mentioned That the Tract Called
partners Contentment Conteining five hundred acres Shall be Equally devided betweene them (that is to say
John Miller to have the South East part running one hundred perches up the Northwest Line & to have
outlet at the head of the Sd: Land Sixty perches wide: And the other Tract Called Brent Marsh Containing four
hundred acres being along Square A devisional to be runn Cross the Said Tract deviding it into Two equal
and the said John Miller to have the Northwest end of the Same onely it is hereby further agreed between
Partners above mentioned that in regard there is much broken Marsh at the South east end of y Sd marsh Tract (the)
Sd: Abraham Emitt Shall have five perches in Length more then the Sd: John Miller In Confirmation of all the above
mentioned Agreemts: wee bind ourSelves our heires executors & administrators: each to the other in the Sum of
one hundred pounds Sterling money of England for the True performance of the Same in Witnes whereof the
parties above mentioned have hereunto Interchangeably Sett their hands & affixed their Seales this 9th: day of
