                At a Court held by their Maties Justices Justices of the Peace the 11th: day of September ffor ye County of Somerset

                in the Province of Maryland in ye 6th year of their Maties Reign Wm & Mary King & Queen of England &ca. Ano Dom 1694

Upon Petion of Eliz: Murmurenough to this Court is was Considered & Ordered that a Sumons be issued for John: Strawbridge

to appa. before the Court at 12 a Clock tomorrow to answer Complaint of sd Elizabeth & Ordered sd Sher: Sum Wm Hayman Wm

Cary: Eliz. Poole June Poole & Thomas Highway. Evid for sd Eliz agt sd Strawbridge. _______________________________

        

  John: Scholfield Petion read his fine reimitted paying fees & Ordered to attend this Court.

        



Sarah: Warren. this day brought her Sonn John:Warren. desired it might be put Apprentice to James Givan. And the sd Givan

promises to learn the Said John: to Read & Write, and also to give him a Two year old Heifer with her totall increase sd____

Heifer to be marked & the mark Recorded & to be delivered to & for sd Johns use at the age of Sixteen years, he the said

James:Givan to keep sd Heifer & encrease till sd John: attain to age of One & twenty years. the sd John his Mother

now Sayes was Six years old last ffebruary: And therefore the sd Court does Confirme the Same to him the sd Givan till 21yrs

        



Upon Petion of John:Rust to this Court it Ordered that sd Rust bring his Servant to next Court wth him &ca.

        



Upon Motion made ‘tis Ordered that all Esqre Layfields accons on Dockett be Continued till next Court.

Mr James: Round Plt   Somerset County Ss. John:Rousella late of Somerset County was attached to answer unto James

Jno Rousello. Dfendt }Round Gentl. of a Plea of Trespas on the Case. &ca. - - - - - - - - ________ - - - - - - - - ______

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~          And whereupon the Said James Round by Peter Dent his Attorney Complaineth that Whereas the

                                                Said John. the 21st day of October in the year of or Lord 1687. at Pocomoke within the Jurisdiction of

this Court was indebted to him the Sum of Seven hundred Seventy two pounds of tobacco as well for the ballance of a Certain

accot of Sundry goods & Merchandizes by the Said James to the Said John Sold & dellivered, As also the Sum of two hundred forty

five pounds of Porke for Sundry Merchandizes, Sold & delivered unto the Sd John to the sd James in manner aforesd being

indebted ,did assume upon himself & to the Said James faithfully promise that he the sd John.the Sd Sum of Seven hundred seventy

two pounds of tobacco and two hundred fourty five pounds of Porke when requested would well & truely Content and pay

Nevertheless the sd John the Saidtwo Sums of Seven hundred Seventy Two pounds of tobacco & two hundred fourty five pounds of

Porke to the sd James, hath not Contented & paid to the damage of the Said James of two thousand pounds of tobacco & thereof

he brings his Sute. &ca. Dent //                            Pleg. &ca Jno:Doe
