idea of the three-level court, making the People's Court
2

an addition of the Circuit Court? This has been done
3

in Illinois, apparently quite successfully.

THE CHAIRMAN: It was considered. In our

S

opinion, the four-level court system is tetter.

JUDGE FAIRBANKS: Is there any possibility we
7
can get a different name than People's Court? I know

that you have indicated it here. It seems to me there

Our present thinking is that that could be confused or
16
confusing with the Federal District Courts. We don't have
17
any strong feeling about it. We have the same reservations
18
about using that nane that you have mentioned. It is one
19
of the situations where a rose by any other name, I sup-

pose, but if you can suggest some other name other then

People's Court or District Court, we would be glad to
