SEC. 1. That John F. Williams, Walter R. Townsend,
Frank S. Revell, William H. Moss, Alton R. Arnold, George T.
Murray and James E. Williams, and all other persons who
shall hereafter become stockholders in the company hereby in-
corporated shall be a body corporate by the name of the Balti-
more, Annapolis and Bayside Railway Company, and by that
name shall have perpetual succession.
SEC. 4. That John F. Williams, Walter R. Townsend, Frank
S. Revell, William H. Moss, Alton R. Arnold, George T. Mur-
ray and James E. Williams be and they are hereby consti-
tuted and appointed the directors of said corporation and
they shall have power at any time after the passage of this Act
to organize by the election of a president and such other
officers and directors as in their judgment may be to them
necessary for the proper management of the affairs of said
company.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 442.
AN ACT to incorporate the Ardwell Coal Company of Gar
rett County, Maryland.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Frederick A. Thayer, Edward H. Sincell, Bowie
Johnson, of Oakland, Maryland; and Russell S. Hubbard and
H. D. McCarthy, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and their asso-
ciates and their successors, and all such other persons as shall
hereafter become stockholders in the company hereby incor-
porated, shall be and they are hereby constituted a body
politic and corporate by the name of the Ardwell Coal Com-
pany of Garrett County. Maryland, and by that name shall
have perpetual succession, and be capable in law to acquire
and hold, either by purchase, lease or otherwise, coal lands
and coal mines and operate the same for the purpose of min-
ing, producing, dealing in, transporting, buying and selling
coal; for the purpose of manufacturing, producing, dealing
in, transporting, buying and selling coke; for the purpose
of conducting, owning, operating and maintaining railroads,
tramways and cars within the limits of Garrett county,
which may be necessary and convenient for the proper con-
duct of its business; and generally for the purpose of doing
all things that are legitimate and proper for any coal and
