1448 LAWS OF MARYLAND.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore city are
hereby authorized and empowered to appropriate annually to-
wards the current expenses of "The Florence Crittenden Mis-
sion of Baltimore City" any sum or sums of money not ex-
ceeding fifteen hundred dollars per annum.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 478.
AN ACT to amend, enlarge and extend the power of "The Ox-
ford Savings Bank of Talbot County, Maryland," and to
change the name of the same.
Whereas The Oxford Savings Bank of Talbot County, Mary-
land, has been duly incorporated under the General Laws of
the State of Maryland, authorizing the formation of savings
institutions and for the purpose of conducting a savings bank
in Talbot county, according to the certificate of incorpora-
tion duly approved and recorded in the office of the clerk of
the Circuit Court for Talbot county in Liber T. H., No. 1, folio
225; and
Whereas it is the wish of the directors and stockholders of
the said bank that its corporate powers be increased and en-
larged, its charter amended and name changed, so as to enable
the said bank to engage in, carry on and conduct a general
banking business.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the charter of The Oxford Savings Bank of Talbot
County, Maryland, a corporation duly incorporated under the
provisions of the Code of Public Laws of this State, title "Cor-
porations," be and the same is hereby amended as follows:
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the name of The Oxford
Savings Bank of Talbot County, Maryland, be and the same
is hereby changed from "The Oxford Savings Bank of Talbot
County, Maryland," to "Peoples Bank of Oxford, Maryland,"
and in addition to the powers by it under its certificate of in-
corporation, which are hereby ratified and confirmed, shall
have and possess the further rights, privileges and franchises
particularly mentioned in this Act, and by such last name
and style shall have perpetual succession, to sue and be sued,
to plead and be impleaded in any court whatever, to make and
use a common seal and to alter and renew the same with pleas-
ure.
