the said damages or compensation to the parties
entitled to receive the same.

Sixth section
of act repealed

Sec. 6. And be it enacted, That the sixth, sec-
tion of the act to which this is a supplement is
hereby amended, so as to read as follows: And be
it enacted, That the sums so subscribed shall be
paid to the Managers, elected agreeably to the
provisions of this act, exclusive of the one dollar
per share paid at the time of subscribing to the
Commissioners, in such sums and at such times as
the said Managers may appoint, they giving four
weeks notice of the payments required respectively
in a newspaper published in the city of Balti-
more, and also in a newspaper published in Balti-
more county.

Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That this act shall
be of non-effect until accepted by the Green
Spring Avenue Company.

 

CHAPTER 142.

Passed Feb.
19, 1864.

AN ACT to require the Clerk of the Circuit
Court for Frederick county to make and prepare
a General Index to the Land Records of said
county during the term of Benjamin G. Fitz-
hugh, Clerk, and to require said Clerk and his
successors in office to continue said Index during
their respective terms.

to make index.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Frederick county be and he is hereby author-
ized and required to make a full and complete
General Index, in a book well bound for the pur-
pose, of all deeds, mortgages, bills of sale and all
other conveyances of record in his office, which
were recorded during the term of Benjamin G.
Fitzhugh, Clerk, which index shall be both in
the name of each and all the grantors, bargain-
