Size, Weight, Construction and Equipment of Motor
Vehicles, " as said section was amended by Chapter 281
of the Acts of 1933, increasing the maximum speed at
which motor vehicles may be operated.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sub-section (4) of Section 194 of Article
56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1929 Supplement),
title "Licenses, " sub-title "Motor Vehicles, " sub-heading
"Speed, Size, Weight, Construction and Equipment of
Motor Vehicles, " as said section was amended by Chapter
281 of the Acts of 1933, be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
(4) Maximum of Speed.
No motor vehicle shall be operated upon any highway of
this State at a rate of speed greater than forty-five
miles per hour under any circumstances or condition, nor
shall any motor vehicle be operated with a greater load
than that for which the registration certificate therefor
has been issued and fee paid.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 73.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commis-
sioners of Harford County to make annual contributions
to the Harford County Chapter American Red Cross in
such sum or sums as the said Commissioners may deter-
mine, and making this bill an emergency measure to
take effect from the date of its passage.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Harford
County be and they are hereby authorized and empowered
to make such annual contributions to the Harford County
Chapter American Red Cross, as the said County Com-
missioners may deem right and proper.
