86A. The County Commissioners of Calvert County are
hereby authorized to employ a competent man to serve as a
Special Police Officer in Prince Frederick and vicinity, the
said officer to be on duty every Saturday from 12. 00 o'clock
noon to 1. 00 A. M. the following Sunday morning, and on
such other day or days as the said County Commissioners
shall determine.
The said Special Police Officer shall have the same power
as Sheriff of Calvert County to make arrests and to enforce
laws, including the rules of the road and traffic regulations,
in Prince Frederick and vicinity.
The said County Commissioners shall furnish said officer
with uniforms, arms and equipment, but the expenditure for
uniforms shall not exceed $50. 00 in any one year, and shall
pay said officer $5. 00 per day for each day he serves in that
capacity under the authority of said Commissioners.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all of the members elected to each of the two houses
of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the
date of its passage.

AN ACT to add one new section to Article 11 of the Public
Local Laws of Maryland, (Flack's Code, 1930), title
"Frederick County, " sub-title "Thurmont, " to be known
as Section 771A, authorizing the Commissioners of the
town of Thurmont to extend the taxable limits of said
town as they may deem necessary and just, provided
same does not exceed the corporate limits.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That one new section be and the same is hereby
added to Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, (Flack's Code, 1930), title "Frederick County, "
sub-title "Thurmont, " to be known as Section 771A, and
to read as follows:
