1906 JOINT RESOLUTIONS.
sale price of real estate in certain situations, and other bills
either in the House or Senate, relating to taxation; and
WHEREAS, the members of the General Assembly could not
within the limited time at their disposal have given sufficient
consideration to these numerous proposals for the purpose
of determining whether they were inequitable and imposed
undue hardships; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable that a study be made of all of the
different kinds of taxes which are at present imposed with
a view to submitting recommendations at the next session of
the General Assembly; now therefore be it
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Governor be and he is hereby requested to appoint a special
commission of not less than five members to study the laws
imposing various taxes and licenses and especially to study
the question of inequalities which may exist at the present
time in these taxes and to submit the results of its study,
together with any proposed legislation to make its recom-
mendations effective to the Legislative Council on or before
October 1, 1949 and to the Governor and the General As-
sembly on or before February 6, 1950; and be it further
Resolved, That the Governor be and he is hereby requested
to make available such funds as may be necessary to carry
into effect the purposes of this resolution.

Joint Resolution requesting the Director of the Fish and
Wildlifie Service, U. S. Dept. of the Interior, to modify the
regulations as to the season for hunting wild waterfowl
in Maryland.
WHEREAS, weather conditions in Maryland are frequently
of such a nature as to deprive one section of the State of an
opportunity to hunt wild waterfowl; and
WHEREAS, it is believed that if the season began a little
later, the people in the southern part of the State would have
a better opportunity to hunt wild waterfowl; and
