safety, and having been passed by a yea and nay vote, sup-
ported by three-fifths of all of the members elected to each
of the two Houses of the General Assembly of Maryland,
the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 71
(Senate Bill 67)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with an amendment,
Section 111 of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition and 1947 Supplement), title
"Revenue and Taxes," sub-title "Inheritance Tax," as
said Section was amended by Chapter 620 of the Acts
of 1951, to correct an inadvertent typographical error
in the text of said Section 111.
Whereas, the predecessor of Section 111 of Article 81 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition and 1947
Supplement), Section 105A of Article 81 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1935 Supplement), as originally en-
acted by Chapter 124 of the A.cts of 1936 (Special Session),
contained the phrase "including property over which the
decedent retained any dominion during his lifetime"; and
Whereas, every re-enactment of the predecessor of
Section 111 of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition and 1947 Supplement) and of
Section 111 of said Article 81 itself, except the re-enact-
ment by Chapter 620 of the Acts of 1951, repeats the
phrase "including property over which the decedent
retained any dominion during his lifetime"; and
Whereas, the re-enactment of Section 111 of Article 81
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition and 1947
Supplement) by Chapter 620 of the Acts of 1951 substi-
stitutes in said phrase the word "domain" for the word
"dominion"; and
Whereas, Section 111 of said Article 81, as re-enacted
by Chapter 620 of the Acts of 1951, is consistent with
