the name of Andrew Jackson Maley had been the origi-
nal name of the said Andrew Maley.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That all the lawful con-
tracts and obligations which the said Andrew Maley may
have made or entered into antecedent to the passage of
this act, shall be obligatory upon each and every party
concerned or interested, the same as though this act had
never been passed.

An act for the benefit of the Sunday School of Chester
Parish, in Kent County.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That John B. Eccleston, Joseph Wickes and
James B. Ricaud, are hereby appointed commissioners
with full power and authority to lay off a portion of the
unoccupied public ground in Chestertown, adjoining
the Protestant Episcopal Church of said place, as may
be necessary for the erection of a suitable building to be
used as the Sunday school of the said church.

An act for the relief of Washington Gaither, Sheriff of
Howard District, of Anne Arundel County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Washington Gaither, sheriff of Howard
District, of Anne Arundel county be, and he is hereby
allowed until the thirtieth day of January, in the year
eighteen hundred and forty-seven, to execute his bond
as sheriff of Howard District, of Anne Arundel county,
for the year eighteen hundred and forty-seven; and that
said bond, if executed and approved on or before that
day, shall be as valid and binding on said sheriff and his
sureties, as if the same had been executed and approved
within the time now limited by law.
