The And makeing Such other use & benefit as y^w shall think fit or

possibly can for the most advantage of all such Drift Whales or Wrecks

whatsoever as shall at any time hereafter happen to come or be cast on

Shore on the Seaboard side within the limits & Jurisdiction of this Province

hereby fully authorizing & empowering y^w the Said Edward Green to make

Depute & employ under y^w So many Deputies or other persons for y^e better

management of the sd affair as y^w in y^r discretion shall think fitt and

requisit, Provided y^w the sd Edward Green shall at all time & times (as occasion

shall offer) render a true & p^rfect acco^r as well of all y^r proceedings herein

& the profits and advantages which thereby hence forward shall acrue, as

also of all other profits by y^w or of any other person in these parts by means of

any Such Drifts or Wrecks aforementioned heretofore made and yett

unaccounted for) unto his Maties Court of Admiralty on the Eastern Shore

and pay or Cause to be pd unto his Maties Receiver Genr^ll Such part & Share of

all Such Drifts & Wrecks as by the sd Court Shall be adjudged unto his Maty

to appertain & belong & Likewise pay & Satisfie unto me the sd ffrancis

Nicholson Esq^r what shall be found to be my due as Vice Admiral willing &

requireing all Magistrates & Officers Millitary & Civill within this Province

& others the Inhabitants thereof to to Suffer & p^rmit y^w the sd Edward Green -

& Such person & persons to be by y^w authorized & empowered as afd quietly &

peaceably to execute & perform the powers & authorities hereby Given &

granted you, & to resist oppose & prevent all others Strangers Intruders or

interlopers whatsoever, that shall presume at any time hereafter to intermedle

or concern themselves therewith without leave or Licence So to doe first

Legally had & obtained To have and to hold the place and Office afd

& the powers and authorities herein & hereby given & granted to y^w the Said

Edward Green for and dureing pleasure Given at y^e Port of Annapolis under

my hand & Seal this 21^st day of August in the Seventh year of his Maties –

to the Court that he was Sick, his bond & Security was Continued till y^e
