(480) x.d      To all Christian People To whom these Presents shall
                Come Christopher Gardiner of Baltimore County Planter
                sendeth Greeting Whereas by Indenture Dated the Twenty
                first day of October in the year of Our Lord seventeen hundred
                and Twenty six the said Christopher Gardiner did for the Consideration
                therein Mencond Give Grant Bargain & Sell to Phill
                Hammond of Ann Arundell County Merchant all that
                Tract or parcell of Land Called Buck Ridge lying in Baltimore
                County aforesaid on a Ridge Called Hunting Ridge with the
                Meets & Bounds in the said Indenture Mencond To Have
                and to hold the same Land and Premisses with the appurtenances
                unto the said Phillip Hamond his heirs & assigns
                for Ever as in and by the said Indenture Relation being
                thereunto had it Doth and may more fully and at Large
                appear In which said Indenture is Contained One Provisoe
                in these Words following viz.t Provided always that
                if the said Christopher Gardiner his heirs Executors ^or^ Adm.rs
                shall or Doe well & truly pay or Cause to be paid to the Said
                Phillip Hamond his heirs or assigns at or before the first
                day of September next ensuing the date hereof the sume
                of Twenty Two pounds Eleven Shillings and seven pence
                sterl together with all Charges & Legall Intrest that may
                arise or become due unto the said Phillip Hamond his
                heirs or assignes by the protest of a Certain sett of Bills of
                Exchange bearing Date herewith drawn by the said Christo
                payable to the said Phillip for the sume above mentioned
                with intention to discharge the same without fraud or
                further Delay that then and from thenceforth this present
                Gift grant Bargain & sale shall be void & of no Effect And
                the right of the Premisses hereby Bargained and sold shall
                revert to the said Christopher his heirs and assignes and
                be as ^in^ their former estate any thing herein Contained to the
                Contrary notwithstanding And Whereas the said Bills
                were protested Now know yee that the said Christopher
                for & in Consideration of the further sume of five pounds
                & six pence Current Money to him the said Christopher by
                Goods sold & Delivered by the said Phillip to the said Christopher
                paid the receipt the said Christopher Doth hereby Acknowledge
                Hath for him and his heirs remised released & quitt Claimed
