The Section 176A as amended shall read as follows:
176A. MEETINGS OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL.

The newly elected Mayor, together with the newly elected Councilmen and the
incumbent councilmen shall meet at 8:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday in
September following the election for the purpose of organization, after which the
Council shall meet regularly at such times as may be prescribed by its rules, but
not less frequently than once each month. Special meetings shall be called by the
Clerk-Treasurer upon the request of the Mayor or a majority of the members of
the Council. All meetings of the Council shall be open to the public, and the rules
of the Council shall provide that residents of the town or voters therein shall have
a reasonable opportunity to be heard at any meeting in regard to any municipal
question. At said meeting, the Councilmen shall elect one of their number as
President, who shall preside at the meetings of the Mayor and Council. The Mayor
shall appoint one of the Council to be Secretary thereof.

seconded by G. Trimper, and carried unanimously.

AMENDMENT TO THE CHARTER
OF THE TOWN OF OCEAN CITY, MARYLAND

I, Harry W. Kelley, Mayor of the Town of Ocean City, Maryland, a Maryland
municipal corporation, being the chief executive officer of said municipal
corporation, do hereby give notice to the Secretary of State of Maryland and to the
State Department of Legislative Reference, that the Charter of the Town of Ocean
City, Maryland, has been amended as follows:

1.   Section Amended - SECTION 176D - "COUNCIL TO BE JUDGE OF
QUALIFICATIONS FOR MAYOR OR COUNCIL" Complete text of
resolution amending said section of said charter is attached hereto. The date of the
resolution is 21 February 1972.

2.  Referendum Election - There was no Referendum Election nor was there any
Petition for Referendum filed.

3.  Effective Date - Said amendment became effective 50 days after the date of
resolution, said effective date therefore being 12 April 1972.
