OF THE TOWN OF OCEAN CITY, MARYLAND
I, Harry W. Kelley, Mayor of the Town of Ocean City, Maryland, a Maryland
municipal corporation, being the chief executive officer of said municipal
corporation, do hereby give notice to the Secretary of State of Maryland and to the
State Department of Legislative Reference, that the Charter of the Town of Ocean
City, Maryland has been amended as follows:
1. Section Amended - Section 188Q
Complete text of resolution amending said section of said charter is attached
hereto. The date of the resolution is 15 April 1969.
2. Referendum Election - There was no Referendum Election nor was there any
Petition for Referendum filed.
3. Effective Date - Said amendment became effective 50 days after the date of
resolution, said effective date therefore being 4 June 1969.
4. Votes Cast - The amendment was by way of legislative enactment by a
unanimous vote of 7 Councilmen for and none against and was thereupon
approved by the then Mayor, Hugh T. Cropper.

CHARTER AMENDMENT RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION of the Council of the Mayor and City Council of Ocean City
adopted pursuant to the authority of Article 11E of the Constitution of Maryland
and Section 13 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1966
Replacement Volume), title "Corporations - Municipal," subtitle "Home Rule," to
amend the Charter of the Mayor and City Council of Ocean City, as set forth in
Sections 170 to 208K, inclusive, of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Worcester County (1961 Edition, as amended, being Article 24 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland), as amended, by (i) confirming, adopting, and ratifying an
amendment to Section 188Q of said Charter of the Mayor and City Council of Ocean
City enacted by a Charter Amendment Resolution adopted on March 22, 1966
(effective May 11, 1966) which added a provision to the said Charter permitting the
sale of bonds of Mayor and City Council of Ocean City either by public sale or private
negotiations, as the Council may by ordinance determine; and (ii) providing and
declaring that all bonds, notes or other evidences of indebtedness previously issued by
Mayor and City Council of Ocean City and sold at private sale are valid, legal
and binding obligations of Mayor and City Council of Ocean City in accordance with
their terms.
