SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President of the
Commissioners is hereby specifically enjoined to carry out the provisions of
Section 2 hereof and, as evidence of said compliance, the President of the
Commissioners shall cause to be affixed to the minutes of this meeting appropriate
certificates of publication of the newspaper or newspapers in which the title of this
Resolution shall have been published and shall declare the Charter amendment
hereby enacted to be effective by affixing his signature hereto in the space provided
on the effective date thereof.
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that as soon as the
Charter amendment hereby enacted shall become effective, either as herein
provided or following referendum, the President of the Commissioners shall send
separately by registered mail, to the Secretary of State of Maryland, and to the
Department of Legislative Reference of Maryland, a clear certified copy of the
complete text of this Resolution and the following information concerning the
Charter amendment or amendments; the date of the referendum election, if any,
the number of votes cast for and against the Charter amendment or amendments,
whether in the legislative body or in a referendum and the effective date of the
Charter amendment or amendments.
The Charter Amendment enacted by the foregoing Resolution became effective
this day of April 14, 1972.

Amendment No. 6 to the Charter of the Town of Perryville
"Qualifications of Voters and Town Commissioners"
Resolution of the Commissioners of Perryville, Town of Perryville, adopted pursuant
to the authority of Article XIE of the Constitution of Maryland, and Section 13
of Article 23 A of the Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 (1966 Replacement Volume,
1971 Cumulative Supplement), title "Corporations -- Municipal," to repeal and
re-enact with amendments Section 29-4 and subsection (a) of the Section 29-5,
both sections being part of the Code of Public Local Laws of Cecil County, 1970
as amended, said Code being Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
and constituting an amendment to the municipal charter of the body politic and
corporate known as the Commissioners of Perryville, said amendments to Section
29-4 to (a) add the qualification that town commissioners be at least twenty-one
