AN ACT concerning

Fishing Restrictions — Black Bass

FOR the purpose of prohibiting sale or purchase of black
bass at any time.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article - Natural Resources
Section 4-735(b)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1974 Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 4-735(b) of Article -Natural
Resources, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume
and 1975 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and
reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

4-735.

(b) (1) A person may not catch [black bass or]
chain pickerel in the tidal waters of the State during
the period from March 15 to April 30. A person may not
sell [or], offer to sell, purchase, [or] offer to
purchase, or possess any [black bass or] chain pickerel
during this period, whether caught in tidal or nontidal
waters of the State, or the waters of any other state and
brought into this State.

(2) A PERSON MAY NOT SELL, OFFER TO SELL,
PURCHASE, OR OFFER TO PURCHASE ANY BLACK BASS AT ANY
TIME.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.
