BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article — Natural Resources

Section 2-202

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1974 Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 2-202 of Article - Natural
Resources, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume
and 1975 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and
reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Article - Natural Resources

2-202.

The survey shall:

(1)         Conduct topographic, geologic,
hydrographic, and geophysical surveys;

(2)         Prepare topographic, geologic, and other
types of maps to meet specific needs;

(3)         Prepare reports on the extent and
character of the State's geology, mineral, and water
resources;

[(4) Supervise provisions relating to the
Bureau of Mines as set forth in Title 7 of this article;]

[(5)] (4) Supervise provisions relating to
archaeology as set forth in Subtitle 3 of this title[[;
and]].

[[[(6)] (5) Investigate and recommend plans
and policies for protection of the waterfront of the
State against erosion and deposit, and carry into effect
plans for development of the waterfront property of the
State.]]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.
