AN ACT concerning

Recordation Tax — Exemption

FOR the purpose of providing for an exception to the
Recordation Tax.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 81 — Revenue and Taxes

Section 277(a) and (d)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1975 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)

Preamble

This Bill contains material which was enacted by the
General Assembly and became Chapter 312 of 1975.
Inadvertently, this material was omitted from the 1975
Cumulative Supplement. The publishers have indicated
that Article 81, Section 277(a) will be corrected in the
1976 Cumulative Supplement.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 277(a) and (d) of Article 81 -
Revenue and Taxes, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1975 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and they
are hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

Article 81 — Revenue and Taxes

277.

(a) A tax is hereby imposed upon every instrument
of writing conveying title to real or personal property,
or creating liens or encumbrances upon real or personal
property, offered for record and recorded in this State
with the clerks of the circuit courts of the respective
counties, or the clerk of the Superior Court of Baltimore
