AN ACT concerning

Corrective Bill — Professional Engineers
and Land Surveyors

FOR the purpose of correcting a technical error in the
laws relating to professional engineers and land

surveyors.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 75 1/2— Professional Engineers and

Land Surveyors

Section 12(e)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1975 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 12(e) of Article 75 1/2 -
Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1975 Replacement Volume and
1975 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and
reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Article 75 1/2 — Professional Engineers and
Land Surveyors

12.

(e) As a land surveyor—in—training[;]:

(1)    Graduation from a surveying or engineering
curriculum of four scholastic years or more approved by
the Board and the successful completion of an eight—hour
written examination in the fundamentals of surveying; or

(2)    Graduation from a surveying or engineering
curriculum of four scholastic years or more or their
equivalent other than the ones approved by the Board and
a specific record of four years or more of additional
experience in surveying work of a character satisfactory
to the Board, and the successful completion of an
eight-hour written examination in the fundamentals of
surveying.
