AN ACT concerning

Election Code — Filing Fees

FOR the purpose of providing for the distribution of
filing fees received by the State Administrative
Board of Election Laws from candidates for certain
State offices; and correcting a reference to certain
districts.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 33 — Election Code

Section 4A-8(c)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1971 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 4A-8(c) of Article 33 - Election
Code, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement
Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed
and reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Article 33 - Election Code

4A-8.

(c) The State Administrative Board of Election
Laws shall divide and transmit the fees received by it
from candidates for the House of Representatives of the
United States Congress, [and] the State Senate, THE
MARYLAND HOUSE OF DELEGATES, AND JUDICIAL OFFICES, in
equal amounts to the board of each county within the
respective congressional or [senatorial] LEGISLATIVE
districts and to the board in Baltimore City for any
legislative district wholly or partly therein.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.
