AMENDMENT NO. 2

On page 29 of the printed bill, under the heading of
"Department of Personnel — Personnel Benefits Contributions"
strike in their entirety, lines 1611 and 1613 and substitute
"State Teachers and Employees......35,749,806 34,899,806."

AMENDMENT NO. 3

On page 31 of the printed bill, under the heading of
"Department of Personnel — Maryland Teachers' Retirement
System" in the second unnumbered line following line 1748
add the following: "Funds may be transferred by the Secre-
tary of Personnel by approved budget amendment to the vari-
ous higher education programs for optional retirement sys-
tems to the extent that actual costs exceed the amounts spe-
cifically appropriated."
