Rockville, or any other area, which is specifically included
in the [said] Washington Suburban Sanitary District by
chapters 820 and 834 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
1963 or any other Act of the General Assembly, including
these subsections which add to the sanitary district the
hereinafter described area.
(a-1) The Montgomery County Council may, and it is
hereby authorized to, extend the boundaries of the
Washington Suburban Sanitary District, within Montgomery
County, from time to time, by ordinance, following a
referral of its proposed ordinance to the Washington
Suburban Sanitary Commission and the Maryland-National
Capital Park and Planning Commission for the review and
recommendations of [said] THE commissions. The [said]
commissions shall, within thirty days of such referral,
respectively transmit to the [said] county council their
recommendations on the proposed ordinance. In the event
that either of the [said] commissions shall recommend
against the enactment of such ordinance, a two-thirds vote
of the county council shall be necessary for the enactment
of the proposed ordinance extending the boundaries of the
Washington Suburban Sanitary District to the area set forth
in [said] THE proposed ordinance or any part thereof.
(b) The area within the following described boundaries
is within the Rockville maximum expansion area but is
nevertheless added to and made a part of the Washington
Suburban Sanitary District. The area hereby added to the
Washington Suburban Sanitary District is in the Gaitherburg
and Rockville election districts of Montgomery County and is
bounded by. the following described boundaries: Beginning for
the same at a point on the existing boundary of the
Washington Suburban Sanitary District, [said] THE point
being on the southwest line of U.S. Route No. 240, 200 feet
southeast of the southeast line of Shady Grove Road and
running thence in a southeasterly direction with the
southwest line of U.S. Route No. 240 to the end of the south
39° 31' 16" east, 406.92 foot line of parcel one as shown on
a plat of subdivision entitled "Plat One Washington National
Industrial Park" recorded among the land records of
Montgomery County, Maryland in plat book 67 as plat no.
6096 thence north 50° 28' 44" east, 125.00 feet to a point
on the center line of U.S. Route No. 240 at station 347 + 50
as shown on state highway construction drawings sheet no. 9,
contract no. M-485-9-320 and running thence with and along
[said] THE center line north 39° 31' 16" west, 816.94 to a
point thence north 64° 13' 53" east, 501.93 feet with and
along the center line of the on-off ramp to a point on the
center line of the Fields Road thence with and along the
center line of Fields Road along a curve to the left having
a chord bearing and distance of north 28° 40' 15" west,
290.21 feet to a point thereon, thence north 58° 25' 38"
east, 40.00 feet to a point on the northeast line of Fields
Road, thence in a southeasterly direction with and along the
northeast line of Fields Road to the existing boundary of
the Washington Suburban Sanitary District, thence in a
