H.B. 1500
FOR the purpose of amending Chapter 204 of the Acts of 2003, as amended, to allow
the matching fund for the Prince George's County - Mission of Love project to
consist of real property and in kind contributions; and generally relating to the
financing of certain capital projects. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, Chapter 204 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 2003, as amended by Chapter 432 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 2004
Section 13(3)(ii) Item (R) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Chapter 204 of the Acts of 2003, as amended by Chapter 432 of the Acts of 2004 Section 13(3) (ii) $2,500,000 for the following projects initially approved by the House: (R) Mission of Love. Provide a grant equal to the lesser of (i)
$100,000 or (ii) the amount of the matching fund provided, to
the Board of Directors of the Mission of Love, Inc. for the
acquisition, design, construction, reconstruction, renovation,
and capital equipping of land and an addition to a warehouse
for the Mission of Love, located in [Capital] CAPITOL Heights
(Prince George's County). NOTWITHSTANDING SECTION 13(5) OF
THIS ACT, THE MATCHING FUND MAY CONSIST OF REAL
PROPERTY OR IN KIND CONTRIBUTIONS.......................................             100,000 SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect

vetoed House Bill 1500 - Law Enforcement Officers' Pension System - Transfers of
Members of the Maryland Transit Administration Police Force.
This bill transfers members of the Maryland Transit Administration Police Force
from the Maryland Transit Administration Pension System to the Law Enforcement
Officers' Pension System. The bill also requires the Maryland Transit Administration
to pay to the Board of Trustees for the State Retirement and Pension System specified
employer contributions and to transfer specified employer contributions to the Board - 4476 -
