12-203 12-204. STATE BUDGET.

TO CARRY OUT THIS SUBTITLE, THE GOVERNOR SHALL INCLUDE IN
THE BUDGET BILL MONEY THAT IS ADEQUATE TO SATISFY A FINAL
JUDGMENT THAT, AFTER THE EXHAUSTION OF THE RIGHTS OF APPEAL, IS
RENDERED AGAINST THE STATE OR ANY OF ITS OFFICERS OR UNITS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 21, §
7-104.

The word "subtitle" is substituted for the former,
incorrect cross-references to "section", which failed
to reflect that Ch. 775, Acts of 1980, transferred
former Art. 41, § 10A(a) through (d) to Art. 21 and,
in doing so, made each former subsection a section.

The reference to the "budget bill" is substituted for
the former reference to the "State budget", to reflect
that the State budget, as adopted by the General
Assembly, is not under the control of the Governor.

12-301. SCOPE OF SUBTITLE.

THIS SUBTITLE DOES NOT APPLY TO:

(1)  THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION;

(2)  A BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF ELECTIONS OF A COUNTY;

(3)  THE BALTIMORE CITY BOARD OF SCHOOL COMMISSIONERS
OR A COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION; OR

(4)  ANY OTHER COUNTY OFFICER OR UNIT.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first clause of
former Art. 32A, § 12, as that clause related to
former Art. 32A, §§ 12A through 12-1. See also §
6-102 of this article.
