transfer taxes and to the rate of tax for certain
public utility bonds.
Also in subsection (a) of this section, the reference
to "recordation tax collected" is substituted for the
former reference to "proceeds from the sale of said
stamps ... shall be accounted for" to clarify the
current practice since the reference to the sale of
stamps is obsolete.
Also in subsection (a) of this section, the language
"shall be paid to the governing body of the county" is
substituted for the former phrase "shall be accounted
for and paid over to the county commissioners of the
county or the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore",
for clarity.
Also in subsection (a) of this section, the phrase "in
which the instrument of writing is recorded" is
substituted for the former phrase "in which the tax is
collected", for clarity.
Also in subsection (a) of this section, the former
reference to payment of "the recordation charges
herein provided" is deleted as unnecessary since there
are no charges under this title.
In subsection (b) of this section, the former
references to "the City of Baltimore" and "city" are
deleted as included in the defined term "county".
Also in subsection (b) of this section, the defined
term "instrument of writing" is substituted for the
former phrases "instrument conveying title to or
creating liens or encumbrances" and "such instrument",
for clarity.
In subsection (b)(1) of this section, the words "real
and personal" are deleted as included in the defined
term "property".
Also in subsection (b)(1) of this section, the former
references to property "situated ... in the City of
Baltimore and one or more counties" and "in the city
and one or more counties" are deleted as included in
the reference to property "located in 2 or more
counties".
In subsection (b)(2) of this section, the former
phrase "and the revenue therefrom shall be accounted
for and paid to each such county or city" is deleted
in light of the provisions of subsection (a) of this
section.
