authorized by "the governing body of the county" is
substituted for the former reference to dispersal of
funds by authority of "the county government", for
clarity.

In subsection (b)(3) of this section, the reference to
the agreement being between the "county and the
municipal corporation" is substituted for the former
reference to the agreement being between the "Board
and the municipality", for clarity.

In subsection (b)(4) of this section, the former
reference to funding the restoration of the "alms
housekeeper's residence on Tollgate Road" is deleted
as obsolete, as the restoration has been completed.

Defined terms: Collector § 1-101
County § 1-101
Governing Body § 1-101
Recordation Tax § 12-101

GENERAL REVISOR'S NOTE:

The second sentence of former Art. 81, § 278(a), as that
sentence related to the use of stamps to evidence payment of
recordation tax, is deleted as obsolete in light of the current
administrative practice under which the Comptroller does not sell
stamps and the clerks of court do not affix stamps to instruments
of writing offered for recordation. As to the deletion of the
references to the use of stamps in the first and third sentences
of former Art. 81, § 278(a), see the revisor's note to § 12-109
of this title.

Former Art. 81, § 278(c) is transferred to the public local
laws of Queen Anne's County.

Former Art. 81, § 278(d), which provided for prohibitions
and penalties relating to recordation tax, now appears in Title
14, Subtitle 10 of this article.
