       Maryland Prince Georges County sc.t

            I hereby certify that the bearer
       hereof a negro Boy named John Edward
       aged about eleven years four feet three
       inches and an half high bright mulatto
       is free being set free by Miss Margaret
       Murdock on the 7.th April 1813 and
       raised in the County aforesaid

                  Given under my hand and Seal of
       (Seal)  office this 24.th day June 1818
