System (AIMS II) until the

department ascertains from

potential vendors and from the
Comptroller's Office a comparison
of direct and indirect costs of

alternative means of design,

implementation and operation of
such systems, including systems

incorporating procurement of

hardware and software through one
contract. After evaluating this
information, the Department of
Human Resources shall provide a
report to the budget committees
including any recommendations.

The Office of Information

Management shall report to the
budget committees no later than
June 30, 1989 on the development
of the Client Information System

(CIS) and related Steering

Committee concerns. Included

within this report shall be the
status of computer purchase and

related systems, contractual

arrangements with system

providers, federal program

status, status of related DHR

systems, and interagency

memorandum of understanding.
