AN ACT concerning
Unemployment Insurance - Aggravated Misconduct
FOR the purpose of repealing a provision that prohibits wages paid to an individual by a
base period employer from being included in the wages of the individual for
purposes of determining the individual's weekly unemployment insurance benefit
amount if the individual has committed certain aggravated misconduct in
connection with the employment; and repealing a provision that disqualifies an
individual from receiving benefits for a certain period if unemployment results from
discharge or suspension as a disciplinary measure for aggravated misconduct in
connection with employment prohibiting the Secretary of Economic and
Employment Development from charging against the earned rating record of an
employing unit for certain benefits paid to a claimant if the claimant was charged
with aggravated misconduct; altering the definition of aggravated misconduct;
increasing the number of times an individual, who is otherwise eligible to receive
benefits, has to earn a certain weekly benefit amount when the individual was
disqualified from receiving unemployment as a result of aggravated misconduct; and
providing for the application of this Act.
