15-105. OTHER LAWS.

(A)     IN GENERAL.

IF ANOTHER PROVISION OF LAW RELATING TO CONFLICTS OF INTEREST,
FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE, OR LOBBYING IS MORE STRINGENT THAN THIS TITLE,
THAT PROVISION SHALL APPLY.

(B)     EXCEPTION.

ARTICLE 27, §§ 727 THROUGH 734D OF THE CODE DO NOT APPLY TO ACTIVITIES
CARRIED OUT BY THE ETHICS COMMISSION UNDER THIS TITLE.

In subsection (a) of this section, the former reference to "regulations" is
deleted as included in the broad reference to "law".

The Ethics Law Code Revision Committee believes that subsection (a) of this
section would allow both of two overlapping laws to be given effect. A more
stringent law would not serve to give immunity for violation of the less
stringent law.
