1. child abuse under Article 27, § 35C of the Code; or
2. escape under Article 27, § 137 of the Code.
(5) While participating in the home detention program an inmate is
responsible for:
(i) the inmate's medical care and related expenses; and
(ii) costs of lodging, food, clothing, transportation, restitution, and
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
taxes.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
(6) The Sheriff may:
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
(i) collect a reasonable fee from each inmate participating in the
home detention program; or
(ii) waive or reduce the fee.
(7) The Sheriff may determine the maximum number of inmates that
may participate in the home detention program.
(8) An inmate who knowingly violates a term or a condition of the home
detention program is subject to the penalties provided under § 11-726 of this subtitle
and other disciplinary action provided by law.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2002.

(House Bill 1457)
AN ACT concerning
Somerset County - Detention Center
FOR the purpose of altering certain provisions of law that applied to the Sheriff of
Somerset County, the Sheriff's jailer, or the Jail Warden of Somerset County to
make those provisions apply to the Detention Center Warden of Somerset
County with respect to certain records, supplies, and funding for the Detention
Center of Somerset County; and generally relating to the Somerset County
Detention Center.
