CHAPTER 577
(House Bill 1459)
AN ACT concerning
Somerset County - County Roads Board
FOR the purpose of altering the salary of the Attorney to the County Roads Board in
Somerset County; altering the amount of money the Somerset County Roads
Board may borrow for certain purposes; and generally relating to the County
Roads Board of Somerset County.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
The Public Local Laws of Somerset County
Section 9-106(b) and 9-110(a) and (b)
Article 20 - Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1994 Edition, as amended)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 20 - Somerset County
9-106.
(b) The Attorney shall receive a salary of [$500] $925 annually for his services
to the County Roads Board.
9-110.
(a) The County Roads Board may borrow from time to time sums of money it
deems necessary to carry out its duties under this title, but not to exceed [$175,000]
$500,000 in the aggregate at any one time.
(b) The County Board, from time to time, may borrow additional sums of
money, not to exceed [$150,000] $300,000 in the aggregate at any one time, for the
purpose of purchasing land and improvements which it deems necessary to carry out
its duties.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect October 1, 2002.
