State of Maryland  Anne Arundel County to wit

I Nicholas H Green Clerk of the Circuit Court for
Anne Arundel County do hereby Certify that it hath
been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof
named Charles Matthews aged about twenty two
years, about five feet eight and ¾ inches high brown
complexion has a scar on the end of the first finger
of the right hand as if the nail was crushed was
free born and that he was raised in the County
aforesaid
             Issued the 8th day of December 1854

State of Maryland  Anne Arundel County to wit

I Nicholas H Green Clerk of the Circuit Court for
Anne Arundel County do hereby Certify that it hath
been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer
hereof named John Johnson aged about twenty five
years about five feet six inches high brown
complexion has a scar on the right side of the
face was free born and that he was raised
in the County aforesaid
             Issued the 8th day of November 1854

      State of Maryland  A A County to wit

I Nicholas H Green Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Anne Arundel County do hereby certify that
it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the
bearer hereof named Elizabeth Jackson aged about
twenty six years about four feet eleven &
three quarter inches high black complexion
& has no perceptible marks is one of the persons
manumitted by Wm Shiply by deed of
manumission dated 9.th day of November 1854
& that she was raised in the County aforesaid
             Issued the 9.th day of November 1854
