155 may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that that the bearer hereof a negro woman named Nel or Ellen Young aged about forty one years about five feet five Inches high dark Complexion has a scar on the under part of the left arm lust above the Elbow is the Identical person manumitted by Elijah Pennington by deed dated the twenty fifty day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and twenty and was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 25th day of January 1820 Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Abram Smith aged about twenty four years about five feet seven and an half Inches high light Complexion no perceptible mark, was free born, and raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 28th day of January 1820 Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named James Price aged about seventeen years about five feet four and an half Inches high brown Complexion has a male and female figure with the letters J D and E P tattooed on the right arm, was free born, and raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 21st day of February 1820 |
