Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1831

    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green Clerk of Anne
Arundel County Court do hereby Certify, that it
hath been proved to my satisfaction that the
bearer hereof named Nanny aged about forty
nine years, about five feet one Inch high
brown Complexion, has a small scar on the
left cheek is one of the persons manumitted by
Joseph Evans by deed dated the twenty second
day of August in the year of our Lord one
thousand Eight hundred and seventeen and
that she was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 21st day of September 1827


    Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court Do hereby Certify, that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction, that the bearer hereof
named Nanny Davis aged about seventeen years
about five feet six Inches high, dark Complexion
has a small scar near the Corner of the right eye
was free born, and that she was raised in the
County aforesaid
    Issued the 22d day of September 1827


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court, do hereby Certify, that it hath
been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer
hereof named Cassy Sparrow aged about
twenty six years about five feet half an
Inch high black Complexion, has lost part
of her left thumb was free born, and raised
