On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed Vizt
Ann Arundel County to wit, On the fifteenth day of November
one thousand seven hundred and ninety nine Thomas
Norris of Thos, Sarah Norris & Mary Norris all personally
before the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace
for the county aforesaid & acknowledged the within instrument
of writing to be their Act and Deed according to Law

 We whose names do follow Viz.t Tho.s
Norris of Tho.s, Sarah Norris & Mary
Norris of the County of Ann Arundel

in the State of Maryland Do hereby
set free from bondage our negro Man
named John aged about forty four years also our negro
woman named Deborah aged about forty one years
and do for ourselves our heirs Executors & Administrators
release unto the said John and Deborah all our right
and all claim whatsoever as to their persons or to any
Estate they may acquire hereby Declaring the said John
and Deborah absolutely free without any interruption
from us or any person claiming under us  In Witness
whereof we have hereunto set our hands & seals this
fifteenth day of the eleventh month in the year of our
Lord one thousand seven hundred & ninety nine
